EPSA 2025-26 Call for Applications: Closed
The call for applications for the 10th edition of the European Public Sector Award (EPSA) is officially closed. We would like to thank all the public organisations across Europe that submitted their projects for this edition.
Under the theme “Driving Competitiveness through Reforms and Investments”, we have received 134 projects showcasing how public administrations are evolving to meet modern challenges.
The EPSA 2025-26 edition welcomed the submission of projects in three award categories:
- Innovating Government, Governance and Policies: 51
- Investing in Infrastructure, Mobility and Energy: 21
- Delivering User-Centric Services at Subnational Level: 36
In addition to these categories, we have also received 26 submissions for the Special Recognition for continuous improvement, highlighting the long-term impact of projects from previous EPSA editions.
What Happens Now?
The EPSA 2025–26 has now entered the Evaluation Phase:
- Online evaluation: Drawing on the information contained in the application form, and in line with the evaluation criteria (Relevance, Quality, Cost-effectiveness, Impact, Sustainability, and Transferability), each project will be assessed by two evaluators.
- Online Meetings: Top-ranking projects will be invited to provide additional details during brief online sessions.
- Consensus Meeting: The evaluators will meet to discuss the provisional ranking. Based on this review, evaluators will collectively decide on the winning projects in each category. Moreover, Good Practice Certificates will be awarded.
- Validation: The EPSA team will conduct visits to winning projects to validate and verify the results of the previous steps in the evaluation process.
- Final Jury Meeting: Before the Award Ceremony, representatives of winning projects are invited to present their projects to a Jury (different from the evaluators). The jury decides on the first, second and third prize in each category.
