Alessandro Valenza

Alessandro Valenza is a Senior Policy Analyst and Evaluation Expert with over 25 years’ experience in EU Cohesion Policy, public investment programmes, and evaluation methodology. He founded t33 and coordinates its Smart Administration area, focusing on governance systems, performance frameworks, simplification mechanisms, and results-based approaches to EU funds.
He has led and contributed to studies and evaluations for the European Commission (notably DG REGIO), the European Investment Bank, the European Parliament, and the European Committee of the Regions. In these roles, he has supported evidence-based policymaking and programme implementation.
He lectures on Cohesion Policy and evaluation methodology at several Italian and European universities, and he currently serves as a lecturer at the Italian National School of Public Administration (SNA), where he contributes to the training of public officials involved in EU and national investment programmes.
His work combines methodological rigour with strategic policy analysis, paying particular attention to performance orientation, territorial governance, and the evolution of EU policy frameworks.
