Nikolaos Sarris

Evaluations and Impact Assessments; EU Legislation; Transport

Nikolaos Sarris joined EIPA Maastricht in 2021 as an Impact Assessment and Evaluation Expert. Nikolaos specialises in impact assessments and ex post evaluations, the impacts of EU legislation and economic developments in the transport sector and the Structural Reform Support Programme for Greece.

Before joining EIPA, Nikolaos was an Economic Analyst at DG MOVE at the European Commission. Also, Nikolaos has been a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Transport in Greece and a Transport Economist at the Athens Urban Transport Organisation.

Nikolaos holds multiple Master’s degrees: Business Administration from the Hellenic Open University in Greece, Transport Economics from the University of Leeds in the UK, as well as Urban and Regional Development from the University of Social and Political Studies in Greece, in addition to a Civil Engineering degree.
