About the event
In search for practices that lead to excellent performance, EIPA and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands perform a multiannual benchmarking study (2022-25) to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, satisfaction and trust of citizens, enterprises, and other relevant stakeholders regarding available products, services, provisions, and outcomes in ten policy areas in 35 countries.
The first chapter of the study undertaken in 2023 explores three core areas of societies: Economy, Infrastructure and transports systems and Science, Technology and Innovation Systems. It analyses and compares the performance of 35 countries from 2007 to 2021, amidst significant crises such as the financial crisis, Brexit fallout, and the COVID-19 pandemic. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the performance of different societies across key areas, shedding light on the complex interplay between economic indicators, infrastructure development, and citizen well-being.
On 26 September from 12.30 to 13.30 CET our experts will present the key findings and the interactive dashboard.

The study is funded and supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands.
