Daniel Diaz-Fuentes is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Cantabria, Spain and elected President of the World Economy Society. His research activity is focused on Public Services Innovation, Privatisation, Public Enterprises, European Financial Institutions and Development and Investment Banks, and the mainstream is in the fields of Economics and Public Management. He has a long-term publication trajectory with more than 100 articles in journals in various disciplines such as Journal of Common Market Studies, Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy and Society, Journal of European Public Policy Regional Studies, Economy and Society, Public Administration, and Public Management Review.  He served as an expert in the Council of Europe Development Bank in 2021-2023. He is an associate editor for ‘Journal of Economic Policy Reform’, and several other leading international academic journals.
