Professional experience

Prof. Dr Michael Kaeding is a visiting fellow at the EIPA Maastricht. Michael Kaeding is a Professor of European Integration and European Union Politics at the Department of Political Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Moreover, Michael Kaeding is the former Chairman and current Honorary Board Member of the Trans European Policy Association (TEPSA); Member of the Flying Faculty of the College of Europe in Bruges and the Turkish-German University in Istanbul; and a former Carl-Schurz Visiting Professor at the University of Madison-Wisconsin.

Michael Kaeding holds a PhD from Leiden University and a Master’s degree from the University of Konstanz.

Michael Kaeding has published a multitude of books and articles on the topics of the Future of Europe, EU political decision-making and non-voters in multi-level systems; EU institutions and governance; EU Agencies; and European Parliament elections.
