Janet Cherop
NIDO Innovation Lab
Janet Cherop is an accomplished professional with over seven years of experience in the public sector. Previously, she focused on policy and tax advisory, compliance management, and customer service within the tax administration agency of the Government of Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Economics degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Administration, and is currently pursuing the Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Public Sector Innovation and E-Governance (PIONEER) at KU Leuven et al. Cherop is dedicated to enhancing her skills to become a catalyst for innovation and digital transformation in Europe and beyond. Her academic pursuits are complemented by practical experience in the public sector, including her recent engagement with the innovation lab for the Belgian public sector, NIDO, where she explores the dynamics of innovation labs in addressing challenges specific to the public sector.
Driven by a deep-seated desire to effect positive change, Cherop envisions a future where she plays a pivotal role in revolutionizing the public sector, particularly in developing countries. With a keen understanding of the complexities within governmental systems and a commitment to fostering an innovation culture, she is poised to make significant contributions towards reshaping the landscape of public service delivery and organizational efficiency.
