Today, during his visit to EIPA, Mr Arne Schönbohm, special representative for the modernisation of the German training landscape and President of the German Federal Academy of Public Administration, signed a new ancillary agreement with EIPA.
The agreement runs from 2023 to 2025 and focusses on the promotion of EIPA activities in the German language and for the German speaking market.
It also aims at providing for joint initiatives and projects between EIPA and the German Federal Academy of Public Administration (BAköV), with the goal of assuring high-quality life-long learning for German public administrations.
During the signing ceremony, Mr Schönbohm, emphasised the importance of regular training for civil servants to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. He acknowledged EIPA for its longstanding commitment to providing such learning activities and expressed confidence that the new agreement would further strengthen the partnership between Germany and EIPA.
EIPA Director-General, Mr Marco Ongaro, welcomed the agreement, stating that it was a testament to the high level of trust and cooperation between EIPA and the German Federal Academy of Public Administration. He expressed his gratitude to the German Ministry of the Interior and Community for its continued support of EIPA’s mission and vision.
We are pleased with this important milestone and we hope to continue in fostering the ongoing collaboration between EIPA and Germany, which will have a positive impact on the quality of public administration training across Europe.
