Peter Streefkerk is Senior Advisor for Procurement and Contract Management at Respect Inkoopconsultancy B.V and has over forty years of experience in purchasing and public procurement. He began his career as a purchaser and later worked as a consultant, trainer, coach, speaker, project leader, and interim manager in the fields of procurement, tendering, and contract management.

Throughout his career, he has worked for more than 180 organisations and companies, both in the private sector and, predominantly in recent years, in the public sector. In this capacity, he has supervised more than 150 (European) public procurement procedures as a consultant or project leader.

Peter Streefkerk is the (co-)author of several authoritative publications on procurement management in municipalities, government procurement, efficient procurement using public contracts, and e-commerce and e-business.

In addition, he has extensive experience as an author of articles on procurement, tendering, and contract management for professional journals and online platforms. Notably, he has written over 100 management book reviews for Managementboek.nl, which led to his appointment as a member of the jury for the Management Book of the Year Award 2022.
