Emma Rodríguez Montes

Emma Rodríguez Montes is currently working in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante, Spain, as Data Protection Specialist supporting the Data Protection Officer.

Before she worked in one of the biggest logistics companies in Europe (GLS), as Corporate Data Protection Manager, coordinating a network of 20+ national Data Protection Officers (DPOs). She has also worked as Data Protection Consultant for a bio-technology multinational in a GDPR implementation project and in other European Institutions, like the European Central Bank and the EU Committee of the Regions.

Emma holds a law degree from the University of Oviedo (Spain); a postgraduate diploma in European and International Law from the University of Antwerp (Belgium) and a Masters of Arts in International Relations of the European Union from the College of Europe (Belgium). She also holds several Data Protection certifications, including the CIPM.
