The European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) was created in 1981 on the occasion of the first European Council held in Maastricht and is supported by the EU Member States and the European Commission. Our core mission is to provide a mix of deep insights and practical knowledge about EU policies, to all professionals related to EU public affairs, with the key objective of further improving their skills and capabilities for effective management of the policies. In addition to the Maastricht-based headquarters, EIPA has a centre in Luxembourg: the European Centre for Judges and Lawyers (ECJL).
The position
Our new colleague will provide administrative, logistical and organisational assistance for projects and training activities (both contract and open-enrolment). Also, you assist the experts in the organisation of (online) courses and provide online support where necessary. You report directly to the Director of Finance and Organisation.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Organising (online) courses, seminars, conferences and other events
- Take care of the logistical aspects of training activities
- Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients
- Providing administrative and e-learning support to scientific staff
- Maintaining contacts and networks with clients and external scientific staff
Job requirements
- Education and languages
- Higher vocational education
- Excellent command in English (both spoken and written)
- Good knowledge of another language, such as French, German, Spanish or Dutch is regarded as an asset
- Proficient in computer skills and learning tools. Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Prezi, Mural)
- Professional experience
- Previous experience in organising events is required (min. 3 years)
- Experience in assisting with e-learning tools and preparing online learning materials
- Experience with Moodle, Zoom and Webex platforms is regarded as an asset
