About the round-table

Join us for our unique off-the-record discussions with leading negotiators from EU and national public administrations and the private sector.

Background information

This round-table initiates a series on Negotiation & Influence. The events aim to provide participants with a toolbox to influence EU decision-making through instruments, strategies, and actions based on our panellists’ expertise and experience. Participants will become equipped to maximise their influence in Brussels, be this within the Council, European Commission, European Parliament, or the wider Brussels environment.

This series is also relevant to those trying to influence EU decision-making from the private sector and those outside the EU by offering tools for extending influence to Brussels and advice on transforming reach into actual policy changes.

What will the round-table cover?

  • What are the essential skills to influence the decision-making process successfully?
  • Which issues need to be considered when engaging in EU negotiations?
  • How do the Permanent Representatives exert their national interests diplomatically in the Brussels Bubble?
  • What tips do private executives have for securing influence in Brussels?
  • How are third countries received in Brussels?
