About the event
In search for practices that lead to excellent performance, EIPA and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands perform a multiannual benchmarking study (2022-25) to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, satisfaction and trust of citizens, enterprises, and other relevant stakeholders regarding available products, services, provisions, and outcomes in ten policy areas in 35 countries.
The second chapter of the study undertaken in 2024 evaluates the Dutch health system using a comprehensive set of indicators and international comparisons, aiming to provide decision makers with useful information in the health sector. The Dutch health system demonstrates strengths like universal coverage, extensive benefits, and strong long-term care investments. However, persistent challenges in vaccination rates, infant mortality, health inequities, financial barriers, and workforce shortages require targeted policy action. Enhanced coordination and value-for-money strategies could improve outcomes and efficiency.
On 15 May from 12.30 to 13.30 CET our experts will present the key findings and the interactive dashboard.

The study is funded and supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands.
