Environmental Protection and Climate Change Chapter: Dashboard Launch

20 March 2025
Online
12.30 - 13.30 CET

About the event

In search for practices that lead to excellent performance, EIPA and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands perform a multiannual benchmarking study (2022-25) to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, satisfaction and trust of citizens, enterprises, and other relevant stakeholders regarding available products, services, provisions, and outcomes in ten policy areas in 35 countries.

The third chapter of the study undertaken in 2023 analysed environmental protection and climate change performance in 35 countries, covering spending, air quality, water resources, waste management, energy, and biodiversity. Progress has been made in reducing emissions and increasing renewable energy use, but significant challenges remain in achieving environmental targets. Public trust and effective communication are critical for advancing climate policies, as skepticism about government action and the costs of climate policies persist. The study highlights trends, identifies best practices, and underscores the need for continued effort to address environmental and climate challenges.

On 20 March from 12.30 to 13.30 CET our experts will present the key findings and the interactive dashboard.

The study is funded and supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands.
