Government beyond Recovery: Towards a Future-fit Public Sector
As the world emerges from the COVID-19 crisis, governments are exploring possibilities to leverage behavioural insights, co-creation, regulation, mission-oriented innovation, anticipatory innovation, and strategic foresight. On 18-19 October, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Observatory of Public Sector Innovation (OPSI) and the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in cooperation with EIPA, will be hosting a two-day online conference, Government Beyond Recovery: Towards a Future-fit Public Sector. The event is supported by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme and will explore the possibilities for governments to steer towards better futures for public administrations.
EIPA Will Host Two Public Panels
Marco Ongaro, the Director-General of EIPA, is invited to open the conference on Day 1, reflecting on possibilities to use innovative and inclusive approaches. On Day 2 of the conference, the Head of the EIPA’s CAF Resource Center, Gracia Vara Arribas, will discuss the accounting and innovation in CAF. Furthermore, Florina Pop, EIPA’s Data Protection Expert, will elaborate on building agile regulations for an uncertain future. Also on the second day, EIPA’s lecturer Clara Cotroneo will showcase innovative, digital and green public administration examples.
