Romain Tinière is a professor of public law at the University of Grenoble-Alpes (UGA). He has been holder of a Jean Monnet Chair (2018-2022 on the culture of the EU Charter). His research and teaching focus on the protection of fundamental rights at the European (EU and CoE) and French levels. Since 2020, he has been participating in a continuing education module for French magistrates and lawyers on the Charter of Fundamental Rights. At UGA, he co-directs the legal research centre and the master’s programme in European law. He is also one of the three co-directors of the French-language online journal dedicated to fundamental rights law, the RDLF (www.revuedlf.com).
