Professional experience

Enrique Bernal-Delgado, Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy, also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Master’s degree in Health Economics. After a period as a visiting researcher at Dartmouth Institute (Dartmouth Medical School, New Hampshire, USA), he founded the research group ‘Data Science for Health Services and Policy’ at the Aragon Health Sciences Institute (IACS), where he holds the position of senior scientist. He is currently an elected member of the Board of Directors of the European Open Science Cloud.
His scientific career encompasses data-driven research on health services and policies, the creation of research infrastructures for the mobilisation of real-world health data, and contributes to the construction of the European Health Data Space for secondary use. Finally, he coordinates the WHO Health Systems and Policy Observatory’s correspondent institution for Spain.
