Alina Aalto

Alina Aalto is a Procurement and Contract Management Coordinator at the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and acts as the EMA Procurement focal point for AI and governance, including AI risk management. She is also member of several interinstitutional working groups on AI (NAPO, NPIO and EUAN).

With 15 years of experience in finance, budgeting, procurement and contract management within the EU environment, and a solid background in IT, she specialises in the digitalising and streamlining of governance and resource management, compliance assurance, and risk management. Her current focus is the strategic implementation of AI in a regulatory environment.
