The European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) was created in 1981 on the occasion of the first European Council held in Maastricht and is supported by the EU Member States and the European Commission. Our core mission is to provide a mix of deep insights and practical knowledge about EU policies, to all professionals related to EU public affairs, with the key objective of further improving their skills and capabilities for effective management of the policies. In addition to the Maastricht-based headquarters, EIPA has a centre in Luxembourg: the European Centre for Judges and Lawyers (ECJL).
The position

If so, join our Digital Policy Team at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA).
Our Digital Policy, Cyber Security, and Data Protection Team is looking for an intern, who is interested in applying the knowledge acquired during their studies, and gaining practical experience in our day-to-day activities.
Main tasks and responsibilities
The tasks during this internship will include:
- Providing research and administrative assistance in the development of EIPA courses.
- Supporting the development, delivery and promotion of AI-related courses.
- Contributing to the construction of user case studies and educational resources.
- Supporting EIPA’s AI agenda for internal and external AI projects, in collaboration with project leaders and experts.
- Assisting project leaders in identifying, coordinating and engaging with AI experts and practitioners.

Education/Skills:
Required Education/Skills:
- A least two years of successfully completed university education in a field of European Studies, Public Policy, International Relations, Political Sciences, European Law or equivalent
- Familiarity with EU institutions and policy-making processes;
- Excellent writing skills in English (C2 or mother tongue);
- Very good computer skills and excellent research skills;
Preferred Education/Skills:
- Enrolled in, or have recently completed, a Master’s programme in Public Policy, International Relations, Political Sciences, Technology Law or equivalent.
- Familiarity with EU Digital Policies and laws e.g. AI Act (AIA), GDPR, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, etc.
- Preferably the nationality of one of the EU Member States, of the candidate countries to the EU, or one of the EEA countries, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
