Slaven Krtalic

Assistant Professor Slaven Krtalic, PhD, is a kinesiologist, researcher, and university lecturer. He is the Head of the
Department for Promotion of Health-Enhancing Physical Activity within the Division for Health Promotion at the Croatian Institute of Public Health, which serves as the Reference Centre of the Ministry of Health’s Reference Centre for Health Promotion. Within the National Health Promotion Programme “Healthy Living”, he leads Component 2: Health and Physical Activity and participates in the implementation of activities promoting regular physical activity under Component 1: Health Education and Component 4: Health and the Workplace. He holds the academic title of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb, in the field of basketball. His scientific and professional work focuses on the promotion of physical activity, public health, and the prevention of chronic noncommunicable diseases. He actively participates in international working groups under the auspices of the World Health Organisation and the European Commission (Health-Enhancing Physical Activity- HEPA). He is the author and co-author of several scientific and professional papers and a participant in national and international projects and conferences in the fields of kinesiology and public health.
