Professional experience

Frédéric Schmied has served as a Legal secretary at the General Court of the European Union since 2016.

ln this role, he has worked on numerous cases in the areas of banking law, environmental law, data protection law, competition law and external relations of the European Union.

He began his professional career as an Associate Professor of Law at Savoie Mont Blanc University in France, where he taught public international law, European Union law and constitutional law.

He holds a PhD in Law from Lorraine University in France, where he also completed a master’s degree in international business law.
