Alejandro Tlaie is an independent researcher and a Talos Fellow, currently consulting for several think tanks in Brussels, as part of the EU’s AI Act Code of Practice. He has a special interest in the intersection of ethics, geopolitics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
After earning his PhD in Applied Mathematics at the Technical University of Madrid, Alejandro held Postdoctoral positions in Information Theory at the Italian Institute of Technology and in Computational Neuroscience at the Max Planck Society. He has also been a Visiting Scholar at Princeton University and a contractor for OpenAI. He holds an MSc in Theoretical Physics and an MPhil in Philosophy of Science, both by the University of Madrid.
