About this course
Data sharing is beneficial for society as a whole, as it creates better preconditions for such things as information management, research and citizens’ opportunities to exert influence.
This training covers the benefits of data sharing, and you will learn to identify the steps involved in sharing public data as open data and otherwise for more extensive use. You will learn about the data-sharing model, which aims to help organisations, regardless of how far they have progressed.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to understand:
- What the benefits of data sharing are;
- What a data-sharing model is;
- What should be taken into account in the planning and implementation of data sharing;
- What kind of roles and cooperation opportunities are associated with data-sharing.
Target group
The training is intended for public officials working in management and expert positions in public administration.
Practical information
This training consists of six sections and the total duration of the training is around 50 minutes. However, spend as much time on the training as you need, pause, return and move freely between the sections. We all have our own style of learning and learn at our own pace.
Once you have completed the refresher assignments successfully, you will be able to record your performance, give feedback and order a certificate.
