Prof. Alexandra Leitão is the Portuguese Minister for Modernisation of the State and Public Administration, and an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. Prior to this, Alexandra was Assistant Secretary of State and Education, and Deputy Director of the Legal Centre of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (CEJUR) where she previously served as a consultant. Alexandra has also been a member of the Advisory Board of the Attorney General’s Office and was an adviser in the Cabinet of the Secretary of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. She holds a masters and a PhD in law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
