New scholarships available for EIPA’s MELS Online Master

The European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) has received scholarships from the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs to support its upcoming Master in European Legal Studies (MELS) programme for the years 2023-2025.

The scholarship will cover the tuition fees for up to six students from the Western Balkans region, likewise, Turkey, Moldova and Ukraine, as part of Luxembourg’s commitment to support candidates who have already started their professional careers to follow the Master programme in European Legal Studies (MELS Online) in Luxembourg.

The MELS Online is a unique and prestigious master’s degree programme that provides in-depth knowledge of European law and governance, with a focus on the practical application of EU law in the context of national legal systems. The program is taught by a team of leading academics and practitioners in the field of EU law, and is designed to prepare students for a successful career in the EU institutions, national administrations, law firms, NGOs, and other relevant sectors.

“We are delighted to receive this scholarship from the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, which will enable us to attract and support talented students from the Western Balkans region and enhance the diversity and internationalisation of our MELS programme.” says Catherine Warin, co-director of the MELS programme.

The scholarship will be awarded on a merit basis, taking into account the academic excellence and professional experience of the candidates, as well as their motivation and potential to contribute to the development of the rule of law and European integration in their home countries.

“This scholarship is a testament to the recognition of the quality of our programme and the importance of investing in the education and training of future leaders in the field of EU law and governance.”

Applications for the MELS programme and the scholarship have opened, and the selected students will start their studies in September 2023. Interested candidates can find more information about the programme and the scholarship on the MELS website.
