CAF Strides in Quality Management of Slovenian Public Administration

News

In October, the Ministry of Public Administration in the Republic of Slovenia celebrated the successful conclusion of their project, “Implementation of Quality Management Systems in Public Administration 2017-2023.” This initiative aligns with the Slovenian Government’s commitment to improving public service quality, as demonstrated in their renewed policy statement on modern Public Administration.

Project milestones:

  • Over 140 CAF users joined their “CAF family” in Slovenia.
  • They trained 1.240 public servants for CAF implementation.
  • Conducted six Quality Conferences, engaging over 1,600 attendees in cooperation with the Slovenian Association for Quality and Excellence.
  • Trained 46 External Assessors for CAF PEF.
  • Completed two pilot projects and five regular CAF PEFs.
  • Presented a total of 153 CAF awards.

Celebratory final conference:

The achievements were celebrated during an event in Ljubljana on 26 October. Around 200 active partners, users, and collaborators involved in two other Ministry-managed projects, Innovation.si and Stop Bureaucracy, also gathered.

In the event’s second part, Mr. Jure Trbič, State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration, awarded CAF awards to 31 public administration bodies that conducted CAF self-assessments this year.

The Slovenian Ministry of Public Administration takes pride in these accomplishments, with some indicators exceeding expectations. They remain committed to their path, making quality standards in public administration a top priority.
