Sophie Alexandrova

Professional experience

Sophie Alexandrova was appointed Head of unit in charge of “workforce planning” in the European Commission (EC) on in April 2022.

Until March 2022, Sophie was responsible for coordinating the Commission’s position in the European Council general formations (Committee of the Permanent Representatives of the Member States and EU Leader’s meetings). Previously, she was a member of the private office of the Commission’s Vice-President in charge of HR and Budget, and team leader in charge of the appraisal and promotion of the EC Staff. Sophie Alexandrova also has wide experience in EU’s external relations, as she was policy assistant to the Director-General in charge of the EU Enlargement and Neighbourhood policy.

Sophie Alexandrova holds a MA in Political Science of the “Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris” and a MA in International Relations of the “Institut d’Études Politiques d’Aix-en-Provence”.
