Professional experience

Paweł Chorąży was Deputy Minister for Regional Development in Poland until 2018. He is a member of the EU High Level Group on Simplification contributing to the proposals for simplifying ESI regulations for OMNIBUS and for post 2020.

He studied International Relations and Latin American Studies at the University of Warsaw (1998) and also graduated from the National School of Public Administration (2001). The same year he joined the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, where he worked in different teams responsible for the World Bank’s Rural Development Programme, pre-accession assistance and preparations for Poland’s EU accession. In 2014, he was appointed as Director in charge of the European Social Fund, the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund and OECD LEED in Poland. He also became Director at the Ministry of Regional Development. He spent one year in Germany as a fellow of the Robert Bosch Foundation in the Programme for Young Executives from Central and Eastern Europe (2003-2004). Pawel Chorazy taught at the University of Lodz and National School of Public Administration.
