Nils Fuerstenberg

Post-doc at the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management

Dr. Nils Fürstenberg studied business administration at the Berlin School of Economics and Law and at the University of Potsdam. He received his doctorate in 2020 from the ESCP Business School in Berlin. In his dissertation, he examined the effects of different leadership styles on the performance and well-being of employees.

After working as a research assistant at the Chair for Organization and Human Resource Management at ESCP Business School Berlin, Dr. Nils Fürstenberg in 2020 as a post-doc at the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen. His main research interests include new forms of leadership, employee health and well-being, new work and the management of complexity and uncertainty in organizations. He is the author of various publications in renowned international journals such as Human Resource Management, the Human Resource Management Journal, Organizational Dynamics or the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.

Before starting his academic career, Dr. Nils Fürstenberg practical experience in organizational and leadership development at the ALBA Group and in Advisory People & Organization at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Recently Dr. Nils Fürstenberg started his position as an Assistant Professor of Organizational Culture, Leadership and Collaboration.
