Expert on audit and public procurement & RO Law – Legal aspects concerning public procurement, in particular transposition of EU legislative requirements & provisions into national law, external public audit on all EU funds, coordination of control & audit teams

He was involved in the revision of audit methodology for the 2021-2027 programming period; and participated in the elaboration of control and audit rules for programming periods 2014-2020 and 2021-2027. He has been Head of the Romanian Audit Authority (responsible for cohesion and structural funds) since 2017. He is also a former president of the National Authority for Regulation and Monitoring of Public Procurement, the regulatory body in the field of public procurement. He has a Law degree issued by the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest.
