Lara Fleischer
Lara Fleischer is the Head of the Well-being Data Insights and Policy Practice Team of the OECD WISE Centre (for Well-being, Inclusion, Sustainability and Equal Opportunity). In this role, she leads the OECD’s efforts to benchmark how countries are performing when it comes to well-being (to determine whether life is getting better for people, the planet and future generations). Her unit also supports countries to collect internationally harmonised data on well-being aspects often thought of as intangible (e.g. trust, subjective well-being, population mental health), evaluates systemic solutions that address the economic, social, environmental and relational causes of well-being inequalities, and enables peer-learning via the OECD Knowledge Exchange Platform on Well-being Metrics and Policy Practice. Before joining the OECD, Lara spent several years in Kenya and Sierra Leone, applying behavioural insights to emerging economic contexts. She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from Oxford University.
