Professional experience

Gundula Gwenn Hiller (Prof. Dr.) has been Professor of Counselling Studies with a focus on intercultural competence and migration at the University of Applied Sciences of the Federal Employment Agency in Mannheim since May 2019.

Previously, she was the academic director of the Centre for Intercultural Learning at the European University Viadrina for over 10 years.

She completed her Master’s degree in Romance/Germanic Studies at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg and her doctorate in Cultural Studies at the Viadrina. She has taught in several international language and cultural studies programmes at home and abroad (e.g. in Luxembourg, France, USA) and gives advanced training in the field of diversity, communication and future skills.

Furthermore she is an international speaker, claiming that our societies need new skills and new ways of thinking.
