Caroline Fischer

Dr. Caroline Fischer is Assistant Professor at the section Public Administration (PA) within the Faculty of Behavioral, Management & Social Sciences (BMS). Before joining BMS, she was researcher at the Chair for Public and Nonprofit Management at the University of Potsdam, Germany.
Caroline obtained her PhD from the University of Potsdam with a dissertation on public sector knowledge management. In general, her work often employs a micro-level perspective to public administration with an emphasis on motivation, values, attitudes and behavior of public servants as well as citizens.
She is particularly interested in topics related to error, risk, crisis and learning, human resource management in the public sector as well the technological development in government.
