Boris Najman is an associate Professor (economics) and Researcher at University Paris East Créteil (UPEC) at the department of Economics since 2002. He is a research fellow at CASE (Poland) and actively working with CASE and CEPS since 25 years.
He is working in the field of informal economy and labour economics. Additionally, he lectured in several Universities and institutions: Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, HEC, Sciences-Po Paris, Madrid Carlos 3, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sienna, Lille, Versailles-Saint Quentin, ITC-ILO (Torino), Lucca, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Lviv National University, Ilia State University (Tbilisi), Vietnam National University.
He is working with both quantitative and qualitative data, analysing institutions and recent energy efficiency, labour market development, informal economy and poverty in EU, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He has several publications on the informal sector and labour economics.
Between 1994 and 2020, he worked on projects funded by the EU and other international agencies (UNDP, USAID, OSI, ILO).
His policy advice records include Governance and macro-economic analysis in the Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro; but also Economic Analysis of public institutions such as pension fund, health care fund, employment agency in several countries.
