Angela Hanson
Innovation lead at the OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation
Angela Hanson is an innovation lead at the OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation. She directs work around innovation methods, tools, and capacity building. She is also leading work on innovation portfolio exploration and Anticipatory Innovation Governance. Previously, Angela worked in multi-level public administrations in the United States. Just prior to joining the OECD, she was an innovation strategist in the Office of Innovation at the City of Austin, Texas, where she focused on project-based capacity building, innovation challenges and prizes, and innovative project teaming and resourcing. Prior to that, she served as the appointed Officer of Urban Forestry and Green Infrastructure for Austin, where she led multi-disciplinary teams for policy reforms and strategic planning efforts. She is also currently an advisor for Civic I/O, a civic startup that exposes city government leaders to design methods, new technologies, and futures thinking.
