7 July 2022
13.00 - 14.00

Background information

Continuous self-evaluation process within public administration is a premise for efficient and high-quality public administration. Especially in times of crisis, a reliable, methodologically well-developed and user-friendly quality management tool is crucial for successful delivery of public services. This is why, we invite you to join our next edition of ‘EIPA in conversation with’, to get familiar with the functionalities of the EFQM and CAF models.

This session will focus on direct experiences and practical examples of CAF and EFQM in use, as well as lessons learnt shared by the experienced users of the models.

Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is a quality tool for good governance and excellence in the public sector, developed by the EUPAN network with the support of the CAF National Correspondents and EIPA. In the context of the post-pandemic recovery, the CAF2020 supports public services at all levels of government to focus on digitalisation, agility, sustainability, innovation, collaboration and participation as well as diversity.

What will the round-table cover?

  • Types of Quality Management Tools: EFQM and CAF (historical overview, the changes in both models in the year 2020, and main elements/differences of the models today)
  • Discussion on examples and experiences by the participants in the conversation
  • The road ahead: effective implementation of quality in the public sector in the post Covid-19 period
