Data Interoperability – Significance and Facilitators

This course, provided by EIPA's partnering Institution eOppiva from Finland, is focusing on data interoperability, describing the practical benefits of interoperability and how it can be implemented in a public organisation.

About this course

Data interoperability is of enormous benefit to society as a whole, but it requires common rules, methods, resourcing and cooperation to be implemented.

During this training, you will learn at a general level what data interoperability means and what the practical benefits of interoperability are. You will also learn how interoperability can be promoted in your own work and through cooperation. During this training, you will also learn about the promotion of interoperability through APIs.

How will it help you?

Upon completion of this module, you will understand:

  • What is meant by information interoperability and how it can be used in practice;
  • How to enable information interoperability through APIs;
  • How information interoperability can be promoted in one’s own work and through cooperation.

Target group

The training is intended for public officials working in management and expert positions in public administration.

Practical information

This training consists of seven sections and the total duration of the training is around 60 minutes. However, spend as much time on the training as you need, pause, return and move freely between the sections. We all have our own style of learning and learn at our own pace.

Once you have completed the refresher assignments successfully, you will be able to record your performance, give feedback and request a certificate.
