Stefano Caneppele

Stefano Caneppele (Ph.D. in Criminology) is an Associate Professor in Criminology and Deputy Director at the School of Criminal Justice of the University of Lausanne. Previously he was an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan. He also worked at Transcrime on several international and national research projects (www.transcrime.it) (2002-2015).  

Currently, he is co-chair of the European Society of Criminology Working group on Crime, Criminal justice and the COVID-19 pandemic, and chair of the Working Group ‘Responses to illicit trade’ in the COST Action CA21133 – Globalization, Illicit Trade, Sustainability and Security (GLITSS). His main research interests are crime prevention, cybercrime, economic and organized crime.
