Jannigje joined EIPA Maastricht in April 2022 as an intern for the Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and Artificial Intelligence department before continuing on as a Research Officer for EIPA’s second hub, the European Centre for Judges and Lawyers, in Luxembourg.
Prior to joining EIPA, Jannigje assisted the HR Business Partners for the Benelux at Bayer B.V. as a legal intern and working student for Employment Law related tasks. This included the creation of an internal sanctions policy, harmonisation of employment and dismissal contracts within the legal entities, collation of the employment benefits for the BeWell project in line with the good employer principle, as well as the creation of a business case for a personnel file system, among others.
She previously was assigned to the Zuellig Centre for Asian Business Transformation at the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines, providing policy and marketing assistance regarding the STEM courses for master students.
She holds an LL.B European Law degree specialising in Dutch Law from Maastricht University in the Netherlands as well as an LL.M in Globalisation and Law, with a specialisation in Corporate and Commercial Law, from the same university. She also holds a B.A. Degree in Development Studies with honourable mention from De La Salle University – Manila, Philippines, as well as acquired ‘civiel effect’ for admission to the judiciary in the Netherlands.
