Smart Investments at Regional Level in the EU Funds and Programmes 2021-2027
The aim of the training is to examine smart investments at regional level supported by EU funds and programmes 2021-2027.
In Brussels you will learn about the specific approaches to smart specialisation, clusters organisation and the innovation ecosystem, transfer of innovation, synergies between EU funds, and best practices in use of EU funds for R&D&I purposes.
Course methodology
The agenda foresees the following 4 sessions.
- Session 1: Smart specialisation strategies: theory and practices
- Session 2: Thematic platforms and clusters 2021-2027
- Session 3: R&D&I in EU Cohesion Policy 2021-2027; smart financial management
- Session 4: R&D&I provisions within State Aid rules
The training is meant for a group of 15 officials selected by EIPA from relevant organisations from a less developed region of the EU.

Fee
The fee includes documentation, refreshments and lunches. Accommodation and travel costs are at the expense of the participants or their administration.
Meals
Dietary preferences can be indicated on the registration form.
Confirmation
Confirmation of registration will be forwarded to participants on receipt of the completed online registration form.
Payment
Prior payment is a condition for participation.
Cancellation policy
For administrative reasons you will be charged €150 for cancellations received within 15 days before the activity begins. There is no charge for qualified substitute participants.
EIPA reserves the right to cancel the activity up to 2 weeks before the starting date. In that case, registration fees received will be fully reimbursed. EIPA accepts no responsibility for any costs incurred (travel, accommodation, etc.).
